Before taking a good care to your garden, you need to understand your gardening tools. Garden tools can be differed to many kinds. Different tasks will result you to choose another tool for each task.

 

To put an example is the rakes. Rake is used especially to gather leaves or to loosen or smooth earth. Usually rake is a long handled tool with a row of projecting teeth at its head. To use rakes, you need to put your hand in the top of the rake and another hand put some pressure down in the middle of the rake. When applying pressure, you can gather more leaves because you are trapping them in the fan of the rake. Then you pull them towards you.

 

Shovel has different ability and different function than rake. A shovel is a tool with handle and a wide scoop. Shovel used when you want to dig or move materials. O use shovel properly, your shovelhead must be perpendicular to the soil surface when you push it down. And when you are going to lift the dirt to make a hole, don’t be at the end of the shovel or down close to the head. It will cause you a strain in your back.
